Fenerbahçe İstanbul Jet Wheelchair Basketball Team, whose title sponsorship we have proudly supported for the past two years, claimed the EuroCup1 2026 Championship, bringing home the trophy as the best team in Europe. With this remarkable victory, the yellow-and-navy side secured its second EuroCup1 title and its fourth European championship overall, adding yet another inspiring success story to both Turkish sports history and disability sports.

Held in Sassari, Italy, between 24–26 April, the EuroCup1 2026 Finals represented more than a sporting achievement for İstanbul Jet Aviation and Fuel Services. This success stands as a tangible reflection of a long-term vision, a sustainable social responsibility approach, and the strength of a team united around shared goals.

Designed to increase the social visibility of individuals with disabilities through sport, contribute to equal opportunities, and become part of inspiring stories of achievement, this partnership has become one of the strongest examples of how corporate values can be translated into meaningful action on the court.

Sustainable Communication, Strong Belonging, and Shared Belief Brought the European Title

Beyond the determination displayed on the court, the strong communication strategy, sense of belonging, and public awareness created off the court were equally important elements of this journey.

İstanbul Jet’s sincere approach to individual, corporate, and social communication created not simply a sponsorship, but a genuine culture of ownership. Today, that culture has gained even greater meaning with a European trophy.

Commenting on the championship, Hüseyin Latifoğlu, General Manager of İstanbul Jet Aviation and Fuel Services Inc., said:

“This championship is not simply a trophy won on the court; it is the natural result of belief, sustainable support, and a strong structure united around a common goal. When we began this journey two years ago together with our Corporate Communications Department, our objective was not merely to establish a sponsorship relationship, but to build a lasting value partnership. Today, this meaningful success from Europe clearly demonstrates how powerful the outcomes can be when a project is embraced with a true sense of belonging.

Behind this achievement, our ability to adapt quickly to the challenging developments experienced in the aviation industry shortly before the championship, together with the operational confidence provided by our strong business partnerships, also played an important role. As we continue to strengthen our position in the skies, I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to our valued business partner, Freebird Airlines, for their rapid support in our core aviation and fuel operations.

I wholeheartedly congratulate all of our athletes, our coaching staff, our technical team, the executives of the 1907 Fenerbahçe Association with whom we have walked side by side, and the entire Fenerbahçe Sports Club family for making our country proud with the same determination and fighting spirit shown on the court. I wish them continued success.”

Fenerbahçe İstanbul Jet Wheelchair Basketball Team had previously won the 2018–2019 IWBF EuroLeague III, 2022–2023 EuroCup 2, and 2023–2024 EuroCup 1 titles.

This long-term collaboration, built on İstanbul Jet’s commitment to supporting disability sports, stands out not only for its sporting success, but also for its contribution to equal opportunity, social awareness, and sustainable corporate social responsibility.
