Istanbul Jet Becomes the Main Sponsor of Fenerbahçe Wheelchair Basketball Team.

Istanbul Jet Aviation and Fuel Services Inc. signed an important sponsorship agreement as the new main sponsor of Fenerbahçe Wheelchair Basketball Team. The signing ceremony, held on August 21st at the Ülker Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex 1907 Tribune, was attended by İstanbul Jet Board Chairman Şanser Özyıldırım, Board Vice Chairman and General Manager Hüseyin Latifoğlu, Fenerbahçe Club General Secretary Burak Çağlan Kızılhan, Board Member Cenk Öztanık and team players Kinem Kulbay and Uğur Toprak.

Istanbul Jet’s ongoing jersey sponsorship agreement with Fenerbahçe Wheelchair Basketball Team for two years has been carried out within the scope of social responsibility that aims to inclusive, benefit society and humanity. With the new main sponsorship agreement, the Team aims to further advance its success in Türkiye and Europe in the 2024-2025 season, as in previous seasons.

We believe in the unifying power of sports with the Fenerbahçe community.

Underlining the importance of this sponsorship agreement with a large community with a 117-year history and countless trophies in its museum, in the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, İstanbul Jet Aviation and Fuel Services Inc. Chairman Şanser Özyıldırım says, “We are a company operating worldwide, supplying fuel to air, land and sea vehicles. What differentiates  us  from our competitors is our operational excellence capability. Now, parquet has been added to our field of activity. We are eager to be with the “Fenerbahçe İstanbul Jet” team as they will try to thrive their challenges with the motto “#jethızıylaparkede” and experience the excitement of the cup together. Each and every one of our athletes puts in an extraordinary effort on the parquet. There is a great team spirit and game operation. Our goal with Fenerbahçe, with whom we have a bond of love, is to win the 3rd European Championship.

Hüseyin Latifoğlu, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Istanbul Jet, made statements on behalf of Istanbul Jet at the signing ceremony and said, “We are thrilled  to share the excitement of our players throughout the season under the name of Fenerbahçe Istanbul Jet. This sponsorship should not be seen as a -sponsorship- for- one branch. As Istanbul Jet, we have always taken it as our duty to support sports and athletes, and we have adopted the vision of supporting successful and ethical athletes by sponsoring ones who compete in different lanes in order to support sports and athletes. Fenerbahçe Wheelchair Basketball Team has won two European championships so far. I hope to celebrate the third championship together this year. I wish that the cooperation of these two organizations, whose achievements are recognized both within Türkiye and internationally, will be beneficial for both the club and the sports world.” In his speech at the ceremony, Fenerbahçe Club Secretary General Burak Çağlan Kızılhan expressed his pleasure in Istanbul Jet joining the great Fenerbahçe family. Kızılhan also emphasized that sponsor support has played a major role in the team’s success in recent years and stated that even greater success will be achieved with the support of Istanbul Jet.

Cenk Öztanık, Fenerbahçe Club Board Member, said, “When our Wheelchair Basketball Team was established, our main goal was to benefit our society, to encourage disabled individuals to play sports, to contribute to their active participation in life and to raise their living standards.”

Kinem Kulbay, the player, stated that their goal this season is to win two trophies and that the support of sponsors is a great motivation for their struggle, while Uğur Toprak, the other player, thanked Istanbul Jet for their contribution to Fenerbahçe, the world’s biggest sports club, in reaching its goals both in Europe and Türkiye. The meeting, which attracted great interest from the sports press, ended with the signing of the contracts by Istanbul Jet and Fenerbahçe executives. We hope it will be beneficial for both parties.
